Dim sum change edit
Thank you for your contribution to the etymology of dim sum!
I see that you changed it so that 點 means "order." My understanding of the word 點心 is that nobody knows exactly what the origin is (see, for example, w:Dim sum, and there are a number of theories. I think the etymology should reflect that uncertainty. What do you think?

- Hi there. The WP article is mostly silent on the term's origins except for this: "While dim sum (literally meaning: touch the heart) was originally not a main meal, only a snack, and therefore only meant to touch the heart...." The first of the two meanings given (which I deleted) was I think "dot the heart", which is inherently problematic as the "dot" meaning of dian/dim 點 is a noun, which would be a little nonsensical if combined with the second xin/sum 心. Language code templates edit
These are deprecated and have been deprecated for a while now, but I notice you've been adding them to entries recently. Can you please not do this, and remove them from the entries you added them to? There's a list at User:Darkdadaah/Lists/Leftover language templates. Thank you. —CodeCat 13:08, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
Bypassing a template (in this case, date of first attestation) to write a plain text is not recommended. When it comes to layout, writing everything on the same line like you did, makes it harder to read especially considering that two different hypotheses are presented. --Robbie SWE (talk) 09:50, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
