User:Anglom for administrator edit

  • Nomination: I hereby nominate Anglom (talkcontribs) as a local English Wiktionary Administrator. He has worked on Old English, Proto-Germanic, and other modern and older Germanic languages. He seems knowledgeable and willing to help, if asked. DCDuring TALK 03:25, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Vote starts: as soon as the nomination is accepted
  • Vote ends: 03:59, 30 December 2014 (UTC) (4 extra days for days lost due to holidays)
  • Acceptance: I accept this nomination, if you'll have me. I edit mainly Germanic languages, having done some Ancient Greek in the past. I like to fill out entries with all the possible information I can get, if I can get it/have access to it. Sometimes I make mistakes, feel free to point them out to me. Thank you again to User:DCDuring for the nomination. Anglom (talk) 03:59, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Edit: I actually don't know that I should accept this nomination anymore at the moment. I've recently run into a bit of trouble with health problems. Maybe I should hold off on seeking administration privileges until I know that I can actually keep editing. Sorry this is so last minute. I thank you all. Anglom (talk) 05:08, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • No problem at all. These things happen. I hope that the health problems can be resolved soon in a positive way. Just let us know if and when you are ready again, but concentrate on getting better. —Stephen (Talk) 10:49, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Anglom, I would encourage you to continue with this process. There is no requirement that you jump into admin work; the tools will be there when you need them and feel up to it. bd2412 T 14:51, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I won't really know for about a week or more if I will be able to continue. Odds aren't great on it, though. I will be spending very little time in front of a computer. So it's probably better just to wait and see, I think. I thank you all for your concerns though, I appreciate it. Anglom (talk) 18:19, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decision edit

This vote is cancelled for health reasons. We may revisit it at a later time when Anglom feels ready again. —Stephen (Talk) 10:52, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I do not think that it was necessary to cancel the vote. One may be given the admin bit and do nothing with it, for any number of reasons (health included), so the one situation should have no bearing on the other. Anglom's statement above does not seem to be a definitive request for such cancellation, but a public contemplation of the question. bd2412 T 14:39, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I withdraw my objection; Anglom's response to my inquiry seems definitive. bd2412 T 21:16, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Canceled above, first by Stephen, and then confirmed when bd2412 withdrew his objection to the cancelation. --Dan Polansky (talk) 11:35, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
