avariàre (first-person singular present avàrio, first-person singular past historic avariài, past participle avariàto, auxiliary avére)

  1. (intransitive) to get damaged, to get ruined [auxiliary avere]
  2. (transitive, rare) to damage, to ruin

Usage notes edit

  • Normally only found in the infinitive, following fare, e.g.:
    • il gelo ha fatto avariare la fruttathe freeze ruined the fruit
