From Javanese rudapeksa (ꦫꦸꦢꦥꦼꦏ꧀ꦱ), from Old Javanese rodra (“Rudra-like, violent”) + pakṣa (“intention”), from Sanskrit रौद्र (raudra, “violent, wild”) + पक्ष (pakṣa).
