sashno (first-person singular)

  1. (Mississippi, emphatic) I, me
  2. (Mississippi) mine

Usage notes

edit
  • This pronoun was formed analogously from the class II pronominal prefixes (see sa-) + -shno, extrapolated form the other emphatic pronouns. It's mostly used by younger speakers of Mississippi Choctaw. It's considered ungrammatical to other speakers.
  • Choctaw usually doesn't use personal pronouns, instead relying on pronominal affixes.
