1. to wander about without a home to go back to; to be homeless
   • c. 1330 - 1400: Luo Guanzhong, Romance of the Three Kingdoms/Chapter 11

     操聞報大驚曰：「兗州有失，使吾無家可歸矣，不可不亟圖之！」

     Cao was shocked when he heard the report, saying, "If Yanzhou is lost, I will no longer have a home to return to. I must come up with a plan and fast!"
