editSemi-learned borrowing from Sanskrit सिन्धु (sindhu).[1] Doublet of ہِنْد (hind) and اِنْڈِیا (inḍiyā). Compare Khowar سِن (sin), Saraiki سِنّہہ (sinnh), Ushojo سندھو (sindhō).
