Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀉𑀯𑀸𑀮𑀁𑀪 (uvālaṃbha) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-), from Sanskrit उपालम्भ (upālambha). Doublet of उपालंभ (upālambh). Cognate with Gujarati [script needed] (olãbhɔ) and Punjabi [script needed] (ulāmbhā, ulāhmā).
