    From 𑀧𑀳𑀼𑀯𑀇 (pahuvaï, to be powerful, reach) +‎ -𑀢 (-ta) by analogy with verbs of the type 𑀲𑀼𑀢𑁆𑀢 (sutta) ~ 𑀲𑀼𑀯𑀇 (suvaï).[1] Ultimately from Sanskrit प्रभूत (prábhūta, much, great).
