The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process.
It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.
Did he mean "emergency medicine"? SemperBlotto (talk) 15:14, 30 September 2013 (UTC) p.s. You don't seem to be able to RfV a category. is that correct? SemperBlotto (talk) 15:14, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
- Lo Ximiendo is a she, isn't she, despite the masculine-looking user name? (yes) Anyway, I assume she's referring to energy medicine, though why she made Energy medicine a subcat of Emergency medicine at
{{topic cat parents/Energy medicine}}
I couldn't say. Anyway, although I don't necessarily support deletion, if this category is deleted, then the above-mentioned template and Category:Energy medicine should go too. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 15:44, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
- It's technically possible to RFV categories, but it's not encouraged... it's not sensical. This (RFDO) is the right place to discuss whether or not categories are valid. - -sche (discuss) 05:24, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- Delete unless further input convinces me otherwise. I have asked the creator of the category for input at User_talk:Lo_Ximiendo#Category:en:Energy_medicine. If this should be kept, then as a subcategory of Category:en:Pseudoscience or the like. --Dan Polansky (talk) 11:56, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
- I agree, delete. ~ Röbin Liönheart (talk) 21:22, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
- Keep, because here's this sociological reason for any young adult. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 22:23, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
- Another non-sequitur. There's nothing about this category that seems to have anything to do with medicine- alternative or otherwise. I removed the category from medical alert jewelry because that looked like a simple error, but the other two are only relatable to a each other or to anything else in some kind of vague theoretical metaphysical way that's hard to make sense of. To keep this category, it needs to have a comprehensible organizing concept that someone would use to find entries that have something in common. If you're talking about things like reiki, auras, qi, etc., that's defensible, though many of us would reserve the right to consider it nonsense. Right now, it might as well be named "en:Blurgs that spreen". Chuck Entz (talk) 00:06, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
- UPDATE: At least I moved the entry reiki as a precautionary measure for future readers. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 21:36, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
- Lo Ximiendo has recently been adding categories like Category:en:Healthcare occupations to terms like faith healer, which seem very inappropriate to me. An alternative "medicine" category would be a good place for such bunkum, apart from categories pertaining to, you know, real medicine. ~ Röbin Liönheart (talk) 16:58, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
- Why so doubtful, Robin? If anyone here wants my opinion on what's supposed to constitiute medicine, I believe that certificates and vouchers are preferable to licenses. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 17:09, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
- Still had only two items after three months. I've built them a new home in Category:en:Alternative medicine, a category I expect to be more robust. Deleted and replaced. ~ Röbin Liönheart (talk) 19:02, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
