You might also consider adding a {{Babel}} box to your user page, so that the community knows which languages you speak. This can assist the community and help them to assist you. Also, you might consider choosing some small project to do that involves a limited number of entries, and allows you time to edit and learn Wiktionary norms. For example, when I started, I took on the creation of entries for all the constellations, because they didn't yet exist.
