Etymology edit
Literally "from the yolk", the implication being that the yellow part of an egg is the more valuable part which contains the most nutrients. Coined in Rio de Janeiro concerning "real cariocas" (cariocas da gema), but has since spread to other parts of Brazil.(Can this(+) etymology be sourced?)
