maaherra
- (government, dated) Until 2009, the highest official of lääni (province), which was a Finnish administrative unit between the state and municipalities. Maaherra was appointed by the central government, and is usually translated as governor into English.
- A person holding a similar position in another country, especially in Nordic countries.
