- (botany) common name, extended to different plants of the Euphorbiaceae family, mainly of the Manihot genus, which are part of the Brazilian flora
- (botany) Manihot glaziovii (large tree that exudes latex used in the production of inferior quality rubber)
- (cooking) typical Brazilian dish prepared with ground cassava leaves, pieces of meat and other condiments
