أَقْرَبَ • (ʔaqraba) IV, non-past يُقْرِبُ (yuqribu)
- to cause a thing to be nearly filled or completed, to be close to being reached, to approach nigh to a time, point, or degree
- (said of a female) to be near the term of pregnancy, to be close to giving birth
- to cause camels to travel at night with intention of bringing them closer to a water-source so that they may attain a drink by the morning, to travel at night toward water, to be a people whose camels are undertaking the night journey for such a purpose
- to be the distance of one night's travel before reaching water
