    Inherited from Prakrit 𑀲𑀁𑀯𑀝𑁆𑀝𑁂𑀇 (saṃvaṭṭei, to collect in one place), from Sanskrit संवर्तयति (saṃvartayati), from the root संवृत् (saṃvṛt), from सं- (saṃ-) +‎ वृत् (vṛt).[1]
