- In the modern judicial system of Thailand, the present term only refers to the judicial officers of the courts of justice. The judicial officers of the other courts are referred to as ตุลาการ (dtù-laa-gaan).
- A person deciding the results of a competition is called กรรมการ (gam-má-gaan) or ผู้ตัดสิน.
