An old Proto-Yoruboid form only maintained in the Ekiti dialect and Igala language, see Igala ọ̀dọ̀, perhaps derived from Proto-Yoruboid *ɔ̀-ɗɔ̀. Some linguists of the Ekiti dialect suggest the r in this word is /ɽ/, differing from the usual /ɾ/
