p_{u} = Excess pressure compared tp external pressure,

ρ = Density (kg/m^{3}) (water = 997 kg/m^{3})

H = Depth (m),

g = Acceleration due to gravity (9.81 m/s) ,

ε = Coeffcient of contraction (ε = 0.62 for sharp edged openings and ε = 0.97 for smooth rounded openings),

ψ = Coeffcient of friction (for water ψ = 0.97)
