"culture" in "cyberculture" etc. is absolutely not a suffix! It's just a common word that gets prefixed sometimes! Equinox ◑ 14:40, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

- No it's not, no more than it is in English. I don't know why the TLFi saw fit to speak of a "suffixal element" at “aviculture”, in Trésor de la langue française informatisé [Digitized Treasury of the French Language], 2012. Per utramque cavernam 15:55, 16 January 2019 (UTC)

- OK, sorry. I suspect it may be disputed that English -culture is a suffix on the same grounds, but I am not sure what those grounds are. Is it that as a presumed suffix it is not very productive, yielding merely apiculture, aquaculture, aquiculture, arboriculture, aviculture, citriculture, floriculture, horticulture, monoculture, pisciculture, viniculture and viticulture, at least as far as existing entries are concerned? --Lambiam 00:22, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
