Original rfv was by user:Connel MacKenzie 2006-06-09T12:00:08. RFV is for sense 4 --> (colloquial) A ball. Perhaps this should be merged with sense 6 (ball again, but specific to baseball?) pill, the pill

[[the pill]] was just created. We already had "(informal, definite and uncountable) Contraceptive medication, usually in the form of a pill" at [[pill]]. Which should be the lemma? (Note also [[on the pill]], which has a definition that can't actually be plugged into its usex.) - -sche (discuss) 03:09, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

[[pill]] clearly seems to be the lemma, but we need to help users find the right definition.

Can't we make the pill a redirect to the sense you indicate pill#English-contraceptive? Let's make {{senseid}} earn its keep.

on#English-a drug has the definition: "Regularly taking (a drug)", which makes on the pill SoP. But that is not a useful target for any redirect, so on the pill can only be redirected to the senseid'ed definition of pill, which should have "on the pill" in a usex, I suppose. Possible missing slang sense: military doctor

John Camden Hotten's Slang Dictionary (1873) gives pill as military slang for a doctor. Equinox ◑ 10:57, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

Baseball
