This page is a glossary of all terms specific to speedrunning (and by extension tool-assisted speedrunning), or terms you'd often find used in speedrunning communities. The terms provided here are defined specifically to match to the meanings implied in speedrunning contexts; the same definitions may or may not be found at entries at the Wiktionary mainspace.

edit- AGDQ (proper) - Initialism of Awesome Games Done Quick
- any% (n.) - A category which pertains to the goal of a game's mere completion; getting to the main concluding goal as quickly as possible, regardless of how much is unlocked. As this is usually the default category, this term is often used to differentiate between other categories such as 100%, low%, or max%.
- autofire (v.) - To automatically press a button. (When TASing, this would be done using an emulator tool.)

- co-speedrun / cospeedrun (v.) - To collaboratively participate in a speedrun, i.e. by taking turns with the controller or playing the game in a multiplayer mode.
- co-TAS (v.) - To collaboratively make a TAS, usually by sharing the input file and appending what the other TASer(s) have already done.

- theory TAS, theory speedrun – A tool-assisted speedrun that uses only what is possible real-time.
