From Byzantine Greek ἀραχνιάζω (arakhniázō), from Ancient Greek ἀραχνιόω, ἀραχνιῶ (arakhnióō, arakhniô, spin a cobweb) (ἀράχνη (arákhnē, spider)) + -άζω (-ázō).
