Cognate with Avestan 𐬗𐬀𐬑𐬭𐬀 (caxra, wheel), Persian چرخ (čarx), Old Church Slavonic коло (kolo), Lithuanian kãklas, Tocharian B kokale, Ancient Greek κύκλος (kúklos), Latin colus, Old English hwēol (whence English wheel).
