Borrowed from Classical Persian حَرَکَت (harakat), from Arabic حَرَكَة (ḥaraka). Compare Punjabi ਹਰਕਤ (harkat) / حَرکَت (ḥarkat), Sindhi حَرْڪَتَ / हर्कत, Gujarati હરકત (harkat), Odia ହରକତ (harakata), Bengali হরকত (horkot), Assamese হৰকত (horokot).
