Etymology edit

From Sanskrit रश्मि (raśmi, ray of light). Cognate with Old Khmer *raśmi, raśmiy; Modern Khmer រស្មី (rĕəʼsməy). Compare Pali raṃsi, from which Thai รังสี (rang-sǐi) is derived.
