Wiktionary talk:Inflection-table templates
Standardizing inflection tables edit
I’d like to standardize the HTML in inflection tables. This could help build them with shared templates or scripts, style them consistently and user-customize their appearance, and help maintain and improve them efficiently.
Step 1 is to do a survey, identify and evaluate the common and diverse characteristics and areas for improvement.
Survey edit
The first five tables are put forward as examples on Wiktionary:Inflection-table templates.

This was page was emptied out per this BP dicussion (pages that try to list a lot of info for every language are unmaintainable). --Bequw → τ 19:11, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- It's a bit of a weird concept. First of all, you're only gonna use an inflection-table for a language you know well. Secondly, to find such a template, I'd either guess at a name, such as typing Template:pt-decl into the search bar (pt being Portuguese) or type in Category:Portuguese templates. Trying to remember the name of this page would come a distant third; like Bequw says, it would be very difficult to maintain and it's quite empty now. Delete. I'm RFDing these but I think at least part of those pages could be merged into a single page, perhaps Wiktionary:Language-specific templates or even into Wiktionary:Templates which is mostly empty right now. In any case, the headword-line page seems redundant to Category:Headword-line templates by language. —CodeCat 18:47, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
- Merge. I will delete the unmaintainable list and link to the category. —Michael Z. 2013-02-11 00:09 z
- They've both been redirected to Wiktionary:Templates, as there's absolutely no useful information on either that isn't already on that page. --ElisaVan (talk) 11:54, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
