- (transitive, literally) to tie up (a kid goat) by the legs
- (transitive, Mafia) to torture and kill (someone, especially who has become disloyal or broken the code of omertà) by tying their hands and feet behind their backs, passing the rope around their neck so that their own struggling strangles them
