- to roast, to bake, to fry something completely, until it reaches the desired final state
- izcept maizi, torti, pīrāgus ― to bake bread, cake, pies
- izcept kartupeļus ― to bake or fry potatoes
- izcept kotletes ― to fry meatballs
- olas tīri vai izcepa karstajā saulē ― the eggs were almost fried in the hot sun
- maize krāsnī jau izcepusi ― the bread in the oven is already (fully) baked
