- (transitive) to take out, to extract
- Dziecko wydostaje lalkę spod łóżka. ― The child is taking the doll from under the bed.
- (transitive) to squeeze, to extract (e.g. promise, information, truth) [+ od (genitive) = from someone]
- Próbowałem wydostawać od niego informację, ale nie udało mi się. ― I tried to get the information out of him, but I wasn't able to.
- (reflexive with się) to get out, to get away, to leave [+ z (genitive) = from somewhere]
- Co niedzielę wydostajemy się z miasta. ― Every Sunday we get away from the city.
