Turkish edit

Etymology edit

Inherited from Ottoman Turkish قبارمق (kabarmak, to swell or puff up, to blister),[1] from Proto-Turkic *kāp- (to swell, to form blisters),[2] possibly with the suffix Proto-Turkic *-gar.[3] Can also be analyzed as kaba (heavy, gross) +‎ -ar (verb forming suffix). Cognates with Azerbaijani qabarmaq, Kyrgyz кабаруу (kabaruu), Turkmen gabarmak.
