From Sanskrit पिशाचपति (piśācapati, literally chief of demons), from पिशाच (piśāca, demon) + पति (pati, chief; lord; master); equivalent to Thai ปิศาจ (bpì-sàat) +‎ บดี (bɔɔ-dii).
