• Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy on Wiktionary's page formatting; all entries must conform to it. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing same-language entry, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.
• Check out Language considerations to find out more about how to edit for a particular language.
• Our Criteria for Inclusion (CFI) defines exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary; the most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
• If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
• If you have any questions, bring them to Wiktionary:Information desk or ask me on my talk page.

Wikipedia templates

Hi Luis. I see that you've imported a bunch of templates from Wikipedia, and I wanted to ask you to stop. Some of the templates are redundant to those we already have, and some are simply not useful or needed. In general, Wiktionary is different from Wikipedia, and we often don't need or want the same templates. Let me know if you have any questions. OK. Wikidata links would be updated to similar templates (so, one know which one use). . I have talked very well about English Witionary in other sister projects, because it manages in the best way the Wikidata links. Thank you a lot for the help. @Metaknowledge can you see me which template use instead of {{image requested}}, please. (it would be good include the link to it in the deletion of the template, so I could go directly without ask). I cannot see Template:convert to convert Roman numbers (as XLIV to arabic numbers : some classic works uses Roman numbers and other uses arabic ones). Another idea, a Wikitraveller Guide For Newbies (help) in Wiktionary, for people that come from Wikipedia or other sister projects would be good. Am I fortunate be in Wiktionary. I think so. Added the suggestion of put the template in the main namespace (entry) in the template usage documentation.It would be OK add parameter 1=EN as default. Can I try it by myself?. Thank you. BoldLuis (talk) 16:57, 31 May 2020 (UTC)

@Metaknowledge If I put it in an English entry, why type 1=EN parameter?. No reason was given in the documentation. In any case, if the template must be user preferably in the main namespace, it would be said in the documentation. I added this useful detail for a newbie, but anybody can delete it if I have done it wrong or estimates newbies do not need it. I have not created templates. Pressed publish instead of preview and saw one global template was not there. Reverted my edit, I have not created any template

On the other hand, in the article “Sexismo y Lenguaje” (Sexism and Language), 1998, Dr. Soledad de Andrés Castellanos, makes references to the neutral termination in Spanish -e/-es.[1]. Adding Japanese derived terms

Hi - thanks for your contributions. Just a word of advice that when adding derived terms to non-English entries, you can't just put a translation without putting the term itself (like you did here). "Gaijin hunter" does seem to be attestable in Japanese as 外(がい)人(じん)ハンター (gaijin hantā), but next time please make sure to add the Japanese as well. Thanks!
