Usage notesEdit

  • The non-emphatic hamyo can be used either as a subject of an intransitive verb or an object of a transitive verb, while en can be used solely as a subject of a transitive verb.
  • In transitive clauses with an indefinite object, the non-emphatic hamyo can be used as a subject.
  • The emphatic hamyo can be used either to emphasise the subject or to give a quick response.
