Etymology 1Edit

From Proto-Turkic *k(i)amak, *k(i)apak (forehead; front; part; eyelid; eyebrow). Cognate with Turkish kabak, Uzbek qovoq (eyelid), Khakas хамах (xamax, forehead), Bashkir ҡабаҡ (qabaq, eyelid) etc.
