editSupposedly from Tatar әйдә (äydä) or a cognate term from some other Turkic language. Related to Serbo-Croatian hajde.
Not to be confused with ай да (aj da), which is a compliment.

Usage notes
editАйда is used mostly as an imperative verb, but it is invariable. In Russian grammar айда does not count as a true verb and is considered to be closer to an interjection (междометие).
