Etymology

From Khmer ស្រួល (sruəl, “easy, simple, comfortable; to laugh”); ultimately from Western Cham srual (“to amuse; to diverse”). Extended as Khmer សំរួល (sɑmruəl), from which Thai สำรวล derives.
