  • Often confused with กับ (gàp, with). For example, ให้แก่ (hâi-gɛ̀ɛ, to give (something) to (someone)) is often misused as ให้กับ (hâi-gàp, to give (something) with (someone)).
  • Replaceable by ต่อ (dtɔ̀ɔ) and แด่ (dɛ̀ɛ). The latter, however, conveys a sense of great honour or respect and is often used to address gods, priests, royal persons, persons in authority, etc.
