tugboat

tugboat??? That isn't Latvian word. I want fix it, but I don't understand why this word is in Category:Latvian terms with incomplete gender. --Čumbavamba (talk) 23:50, 2 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

It is simple: just replace the question mark with the gender that the translation belongs to. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 23:53, 2 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Peru

Peru is in feminine gender, but that is invariable word (loan word). Is this change correct? --Čumbavamba (talk) 23:57, 2 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

I wish I could ask Pereru (talkcontribs) about something like that, but Pereru is inactive. Besides, would you like to examine {{lv-noun}} and {{lv-proper noun}}? --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 00:04, 3 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
This must be correct! I don't understand, what do you want? What is with those templates? --Čumbavamba (talk) 00:23, 3 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
Not to worry, you got it right. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 00:26, 3 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks

Dear Lo Ximiendo. Thank you for the information you gave me. As a newcomer to Wiktionary, your information have been very useful for me.

noslēpumains

Why noslēpumains is in Category:Translation requests (Latvian)? --Čumbavamba (talk) 18:42, 3 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

That has been bugging me. I wonder if it is some sort of glitch in the coding. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 12:27, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
Excuse me. The example for the third definition requires English translation. I assume it is the cause of this problem. I have found that similar phenomena occur also in some Hebrew lemmas (e.g. in פסח, among which the quotation for the second definition of the Proper noun needs English translation). --Eryk Kij (talk) 18:14, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Czech entries and removing of head

I prefer that you stop removing heads from Czech nouns, like in diff. The head parameters are guaranteed to work, while the automatic determination of links for the component words is generally unreliable. --Dan Polansky (talk) 21:53, 7 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Vocative in Latvian

This isn't true. 1st declesion words in vocative not always are without endings. In this case, word pilots in vocative also is pilots (without ending -s). I start discussion about this in Latvian Wiktionary. If word is propernoun, then word in vocative hasn't ending (-s). If word is common noun, then each word must appreciate individually (that is about only 1st declesion nouns). Need to modify Template:lv-decl-noun-1, because this template generated all nouns in vocative without ending at this moment. --Čumbavamba (talk) 08:34, 14 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

I want delete many entries of Latvian 1st declension words in vocative. Before I do it, I need accept. Here I start discussion. --Čumbavamba (talk) 10:44, 15 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Flood flag

Hey again. Could you give me the flood flag please? I'm gonna add lots of Spanish plurals (without a bot) --Javier the Star (talk) 18:35, 14 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Excuse me, what do you mean by a flood flag? --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 18:56, 14 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
It's there in the user rights, and checking it makes the user's edits tagged as "bot" in the recent changes. And this user is wonderfool. --kc_kennylau (talk) 15:26, 29 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Etymology

Can I write like here? That is my guesswork. If no, then need to undo this change. --Čumbavamba (talk) 09:33, 22 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Vietnamese Wiktionarian

Hi. What exactly is a Wiktionarian? I don't see any one from Vietnam on the list.Fumiko Take (talk) 10:24, 29 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Maybe I'll add the section of Vietnam for you. Besides, the word Wiktionarian itself is a blend of Wiktionary and dictionarian. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 15:24, 29 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
Oh. I thought not everyone could sign up their name to the list.Fumiko Take (talk) 03:46, 30 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Minor edits on Georgian entries

Ill make your life easier. Use this. A new button will appear in the Tools section on the left.

Except that it can do this two (1, 2) edits at once it also does some other cleanup stuff like converting [[]] into {{l}} for every language.

This user script is tested but still may have some bugs and if you spot them please notify me ))

P.S. if you decide to save a page after only doing minor stuff please check the checkbox saying "This is a minor edit" before saving... --Dixtosa (talk) 19:08, 13 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

¯

I can't understand, why is template {{attention|lv|topic=diacritic name}} in article about ¯. Can you explain to me, what I need to do to remove that template? --Čumbavamba (talk) 22:26, 21 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Czech declensions

Hi, just wanted to say thank you for adding them, because to be honest, I can't be bothered myself ;-). --Droigheann (talk) 23:30, 17 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Categories for single-kanji Japanese entries

Thank you for your work on Japanese entries. It's much appreciated.  :)

I noticed in some of your recent edits that you've been removing [[Category:Japanese terms written with one Han script character]] and [[Category:Japanese terms spelled with KANJI]] from single-kanji Japanese entries. When doing so, please also add {{ja-kanjitab}} to each etymology section. {{ja-kanjitab}} adds in both of these categories automatically.

Thanks again! ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │ Tala við mig 20:03, 23 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

piermirstams

In Latvian doesn't exist such word like piermirstams (see Special:WhatLinksHere/piermirstams). All of these entries must to delete. I think, that was mistake of similar word piemirstams. --Čumbavamba (talk) 20:27, 1 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Can you see, once has been such word or not? If that was deleted, then need delete all bot generated entries too. I don't find this word in any dictionary, not like dialectal or archaic. --Čumbavamba (talk) 20:49, 1 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
I took care of the non-lemma forms. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 20:55, 1 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
P.S. Now that I've been thinking about it, how about you let me know of other words you're uncertain about. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 20:58, 1 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
I think, that word is mistake. Word piemirstams is in Latvian not piermirstams (with extra r). We don't have piermirstamais too (must be piemirstamais). I found more word, which I heard first time:
nedievinājošs (see Special:WhatLinksHere/nedievinājošs, in Latvian is word nedievinošs)
dievinājošs (see Special:WhatLinksHere/dievinājošs, in Latvian is word dievinošs);
apmainījams (see Special:WhatLinksHere/apmainījams, in Latvian is word apmaināms).
If I understand, bot (GanimalBot) created these entries, but why? --Čumbavamba (talk) 13:06, 2 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

تخن

Dear Lo Ximiendo, can you please separate the two تخن s in Arabic and Pashto as this may result in confusion. Thank you so much. Adjutor101 (talk) 10:56, 5 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

WP doesn't just make this stuff up to annoy you, though. It's based on a synthesis of peer-reviewed research, and they list their sources. Equinox 04:19, 22 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Sanskara

@Lo Ximiendo, can you perform properly what I was trying to accomplish? See Wiktionary link bottom of this page here

No parentheses for entry titles, please. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 01:19, 11 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
The article as you saw has parentheses. Can you please tell me how to link it to sanskara from Wikipedia? Dazedbythebell (talk) 02:11, 11 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi ! I saw where you changed the Pronunciation for the overlong ô. Are you sure your edit is correct? Leasnam (talk) 23:17, 6 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

I apologize, for my reason was Category:IPA pronunciations with repetition. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 23:20, 6 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Luke Skywalker

Why not have his name as an example of Lūks in Latvian? He even has his own Latvian Wikipedia article at Lūks Skaivolkers. --Pereru (talk) 08:11, 4 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

I have a feeling that one example is enough. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 08:12, 4 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hmmm... I was going for two examples per given name, just enough to show that the spelling is consistent. Unless you have a reason against that... --Pereru (talk) 08:21, 4 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
(I also wondered if the given name should be in bold in the examples for consistency with common noun examples, but since it is so easy to see which is which I thought boldface would only make the examples uglier.) --Pereru (talk) 08:23, 4 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Telugu lists-contd

Thank you for making me aware about the Lists in wiktionary. I have developed some lists in Telugu language: list:days of the week/te; list:continents/te. I would like to create Template:list:religions/te. Can you check them whether I have done it properly. Thanks.--Rajasekhar1961 (talk) 11:57, 5 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

You might want to ask/frain CodeCat (talkcontribs) about what happened the list template mechanism. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 11:59, 5 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Bashkir plural forms

Hi Lo Ximiendo, thanx a lot for your assistance.

Should хаттар be in Category:Bashkir plurals? Borovi4ok (talk) 12:47, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

According to "News for Editors" on the 17th of August, "The 'plurals' categories are now deprecated in favour of 'noun plural forms'." Therefore, I suggest making Category:Bashkir noun plural forms so you could transfer entries from the category you're talking about to the category that I am suggesting. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 12:52, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! This answers my question. Borovi4ok (talk) 12:57, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

autoconfirm

Can you give me autoconfirm please? I need it to fix a mistake. Thanks. Afka hooyo (talk) 08:57, 27 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

An auto-confirm would call for a white-list recommendation. Besides, can you describe the mistake that you made? --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 09:01, 27 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
Not really mistake, but I'd like to move maxaa to maxa. Afka hooyo (talk) 09:09, 27 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
