This orthography is an etymological spelling that can be applied to all lects. However, its usage may be limited, and phonetic spellings. For Shanghainese and Suzhounese, nowadays dimunitives are being more frequently used, thus 實蓋实盖, 實梗实梗, may be preferred instead.
