  1. (transitive) to catch up (on)
    Treffen wir uns und holen alles nach.
    Let's meet and catch up on everything.

    I need to catch up on my sleep.
  2. (transitive) to make up (for example a test)
    Ich muss den Test nachholen, weil ich krank war.
    I need to make up the test because I was sick.
