     傍 formerly had three pronunciations—bāng, bàng and báng—now unifiedly read as bàng.

     Lìngwài hái yào zhùyì de shì, “zhóu/zhòu” zì zài xìjùjiè tǒngdú qùshēng (sìshēng), bù dú yángpíng (èrshēng). [Pinyin]

     Another thing to note is that 軸 is unifiedly read in theater with the departing tone (fourth tone), not the dark level tone (second tone).
