Column 1, Verses 1-4

1.

ḫpr(w) sw wbn rꜥ nṯr ḫpr ḏs⸗f

Then it became to pass that the majesty of Re, he who created himself

2.

m-ḫt wn.n⸗f m nsyt

having been king

3.

rmṯ nṯrw m ḫt wꜥtj

of men as well as of the gods who were united.

4.

wn.jn rmṯ ḥr kꜣt mdt r-ḫft rꜥ

Column 2, Verses 5-6

5.

jst r⸗f ḥm⸗f ꜥnḫ wḏꜣ snb jꜣww qsw⸗f m ḥḏ

As to his majesty, let him live, be safe und in good health, be had grown old, his bones became like silver,

6.

ḥꜥw⸗f m nbw

his flesh like gold,

Column 3, Verses 7-11

7.

šnj⸗f m ḫsbd mꜣꜥt

his hair like real lapis lazuli.

8.

wn.jn ḥm⸗f ḥr sjꜣ mdt

Now his majesty had learned about the plans

9.

nt kꜣt r⸗f jn rmṯ

which men were devising against him;

10.

ḏd.jn ḥm⸗f ꜥnḫ wḏꜣ snb n ntjw m-ḫtjw⸗f

Then his majesty, let him live, be safe and in good health, said to those who were in his following:

11.

njs m n⸗j r jrt⸗j

“Call to me my Eye,

Shu, Tefnut,

13.

gbb nwt

Geb, and Nut,

14.

ḥnꜥ jtw mwwt

together with the fathers and mothers who

15.

wnnyw ḥnꜥ⸗j jst wj m nnw

were with me when I was in the Watery Abyss,

Column 5

16.

ḥnꜥ gr nṯrj nnw jn⸗f šnty⸗f ḥnꜥ⸗f

as well as the god of the Watery Abyss. Let him bring his attendants with him.

17.

jn.n⸗k st m ktkt

(But) bring them secretly,

18.

jm mꜣꜣ rmṯ jm wꜥr jb⸗sn

lest men see, and their hearts escape.

19.

j.jj⸗k ḥnꜥ⸗sn r ḥwt-ꜥꜣt ḏd⸗sn sḫrw⸗sn ḏr ???

Come with them to the Great Palace, let them confess their (wicked) plans so
