Hey! As promised on my talk page, here is the generic welcome message which contains some useful advice for new editors:

Hello, welcome to Wiktionary, and thank you for your contributions so far.

If you are unfamiliar with wiki-editing, take a look at Help:How to edit a page. It is a concise list of technical guidelines to the wiki format we use here: how to, for example, make text boldfaced or create hyperlinks. Feel free to practice in the sandbox. If you would like a slower introduction we have a short tutorial.

These links may help you familiarize yourself with Wiktionary:

  • Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy on Wiktionary's page formatting; all entries must conform to it. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing same-language entry, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.
  • Check out Language considerations to find out more about how to edit for a particular language.
  • Our Criteria for Inclusion (CFI) defines exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary; the most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
  • If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
  • If you have any questions, bring them to Wiktionary:Information desk or ask me on my talk page.
  • Whenever commenting on any discussion page, please sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~) which automatically produces your username and timestamp.
  • You are encouraged to add a BabelBox to your userpage to indicate your self-assessed knowledge of languages.

Enjoy your stay at Wiktionary! — Mnemosientje (t · c) 14:09, 15 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your entries do not contain a headword. ALL entries must have one - even something simple like {{head|cu|pronoun}} is better than nothing. See юже as an example. SemperBlotto (talk) 06:25, 16 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Also, please note that "Old Church Slavonic" and "Church Slavonic" have different language codes. You're using "cu" for "Church Slavonic" , which is wrong, e.g. мене (mene). We're actually using "Old" but if you object, pls ask or raise as a concern in WT:BP. BWT, your user name "ПростаРечь" is neither Russian (Russian: простая речь), nor Old Church Slavonic (OCS: проста рѣчь), which one is it? --Anatoli T. Thank you for your thanks

For all 37 of them, really. Allahverdi Verdizade (talk) 17:34, 14 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Woops, there came the 38th one. Allahverdi Verdizade (talk) 17:35, 14 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

There are so much thanks especially for me. Why? I felt honour but please stop it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really grateful. Thank you. - BurakD53 (talk) 20:42, 14 August 2021 (UTC+3)

At least do not thank for every minor edit if you decide to thank for a whole collection of articles—but just the main edits would get over the points. Fay Freak (talk) 18:11, 14 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

ПростаРечь, the torrent of thanks is distracting. Please stop. --Vahag (talk) 18:15, 26 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

In revenge for your continuing thanks I have sent you tens of my thanks. --Vahag (talk) 15:41, 9 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Ah ok thats why :) Tollef Salemann (talk) 23:02, 15 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Too many thanks

Thank you, but please stop sending people thanks for their edits. It's annoying people, myself included. {{victar|talk}} 16:41, 6 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have discovered it is possible to mute notifications from specific users at https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-echo. I have peace now. Vahag (talk) 19:12, 6 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
Good to know, thanks. --{{victar|talk}} 19:22, 6 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hey, thank you for all your thanks but they are too many, please stop. I don't want to suppress any notifications from anyone. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 12:53, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the thanks!

It's real nice of you! Hundwine (talk) 20:05, 26 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Bible quotation template

Nyuhn (talk) 13:02, 24 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

ПростаРечь (talk) 13:31, 24 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
ПростаРечь (talk) 14:56, 24 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Wiktionary:Quotations. Nyuhn (talk) 16:45, 24 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
ПростаРечь (talk) 17:37, 24 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
