- The seventeenth letter in traditional abjad order, which is used in place of numerals for list numbering (abjad numerals). It is preceded by ع (ʕ) and followed by ص (ṣ).

- فَ (fa) indicates that the second action follows directly after the first action, whereas ثُمَّ (ṯumma) indicates that there is a certain period of time between the two actions.
