Hi. I collect positive words - mostly adjectives. Currently I'm working on adjectives in Arabic - and I don't speak a word of good Arabic...well, almost none...Salam!

Thanks for your wonderful resource.

Right now I have assembled (run back and forth through an online translator)about 1400 Arabic adjectives with English translations. (See the list below) I'm thinking of hiring an Arabic-speaking individual and paying him a couple of hundred dollars in order to enter them into Wiktionary. Sadly, I'm not wealthy and would prefer to perform the data entry myself for it to be improved upon by more Arabic-literate individuals. I'm concerned that if I do it myself however, it would have so many errors (the online translators can be a little wacky) that I might become a pariah among the Arabic-translating community. I certainly am thoroughly unable to contribute the pronunciation.

I don't know if you ever take the time to answer these communique's or not but if you have some good advice I'd certainly like to hear it. <email redacted>

Marty, I can add some Arabic adjectives but I encourage YOU to do. It's not that hard and I can help you there. OK, the first word on your big list is الوفرة: Firstly, you won't find this word in our dictionary, even if it's created because it's not in its lemma (dictionary) form, it has a definite article الـ (al-) in front of it - "al-wafra". Its lemma form is وفرة (wafra). Secondly, it's not an adjective, it's a noun - "opulence", "abundance"! But you can make an adverb with it by adding a suffix or prefix. "abundant" is وافر (wāfir) in Arabic (similar but not the same, uses the same root letters - "w-f-r". I have just created it - a very basic form. Thanks for your help and instruction Anatoli. However it looks like, based on Chuck's response, that my making direct editorial contributions in a language that I don't comprehend is frowned upon by Wiktionary. I'm not surprised. The script is so foreign to me that I could accidentally delete a couple of characters and not even know it. (I've faced similar challenges with Chinese and Hindi on my personal web site)

I see that more than 50 of these words (now in blue) have been successfully added. Thank-you! A note to anyone else offering to edit and enter these words: Allegedly if you hold the thought "I Am..." in your mind, while editing the word, could reinforce that word in your life. Evidently this comes from the "I am that I am." of Abraham and these (I am...) words are said to be sufficiently effective that one should avoid saying, in passing or jest, words such as "I'm such an idiot." Thanks. Those words may have been added earlier. Your list is not the best and not in the best form, though. There are many non-adjectives or they in the feminine or adverbial forms. If you get someone to add entries, it's fine. Why do you care so much, if you don't know the language and not even learning it? You can request individual words.
