összes
HungarianEdit
EtymologyEdit
PronunciationEdit
DeterminerEdit
összes
- all, every (used with definite article and the noun in singular)
- Az összes bolt zárva tart holnap. ― All the shops will be closed tomorrow.
- Synonym: minden
Usage notesEdit
It is currently used with the singular (like the term every in English). However, it occasionally occurs with the plural form in archaic structures indicating the unabridged edition of someone’s works or specifically his or her poems or short stories: …… összes művei / versei / költeményei / elbeszélései. See also the Usage notes at minden (“every”).
