    • 1949, 永井隆, 長崎の鐘:
      傷害 (しょうがい)原因 (げんいん)原子爆弾 (げんしばくだん)直接 (ちょくせつ)よるものと、その爆発 (ばくはつ)現象 (げんしょう) (ともな)間接 (かんせつ)のものとがある。
      Shōgai no gen'in wa genshi bakudan ni chokusetsu yoru mono to, sono bakuhatsu no genshō ni tomonau kansetsu no mono to ga aru.
      Injuries were caused by direct exposure to the nuclear blast as well as indirectly from contact with the resulting phenomena.
