Usage notesEdit

[ŋ] is an allophonic variation of /ɡ/ in Japanese, known as 鼻濁音 (bidakuon, nasal voiced sound). This character is not used in standard Japanese, but instead for distinction between the two allophonic variations by Japanese linguists.
